One of my clients wanted help designing an athletic shirt to give to his Ironman team mates as a gift. There are 7 members on Team Jackass. Played with the concept of 7 unique individuals that are still competing on their own accord – and yet are working together as one unit. Over the years of course they have used the donkey in various ways.
So I cut up the donkey graphic into 7 pieces in Illustrator and replaced it together! Branded the donkey’s hind quarters with the iconic ‘7’. Added the ‘TJA’. On the back we put their team name along with their EST. date when their team was created.
This was the final 2-color design that was printed on a long sleeve gray shirt at www.customink.com.
I heard that the guys L O V E D their shirts and was emailed a snapshot of them wearing them. A rewarding and FUN project!
