What a fun party this little guy had – a circus theme! Designed this unique super fun book for Chanel Parrott Apsey of Your Reflection My Style. I think it was the first circus theme book I’ve done… and amazingly enough, Chanel told me she had shot three circus parties that year !! Love it!
The design employs the use of textured bold colored backgrounds that match the decor, a bold carnival themed font on the cover (probably the ONLY time I have ever sought out a font like this !! 😉 ) and a few swirly carnival elements in spots. My goal was to NOT overpower the already exciting photos and decor though. You have to hold back with discretion as it can get overdone fast. Did incorporate some layered backgrounds to this project as it did need to be a little bit festive and the family requested some. I like to limit the color palette to only the predominant ones that exist in the photos to create consistency throughout. This family has a great eye for detail – love the treats, animal figurines, special decorations… loved every moment working on this one. This project was design service only – images were sent from photographer ready to go.
