Elizabeth Medina of Elizabeth Medina Photography of Merida, Yucatan, Mexico wanted to create a very cool, best of, portfolio album featuring her wedding photography that she could not only use for her own sales meetings, but also give to venues to promote her work. She gave me a LOT of folders of different couples and told me to go ahead and pull the best images that would work together. The challenge a) picking which ones b) only had 1 spread to showcase one couple and venue. I had a great time working on this gorgeous album with her. Our goal was to create a very Travel + Leisure style book …. not just a wedding album. The font combination used for the titles throughout aided this look as well as careful image layouts with flush touching images contrasted with use of dramatic warm colors, generous negative space sprinkled throughout. The most important unifying element that I strove for was that the images on the spread, despite the big time difference during the event, looked fabulous together in scale and color.  This book is volume 1 called “Weddings in Mexico: Haciendas + Historic Homes.”
