Aloha ShoyuThere are many things that we miss about Hawaii – the natural beauty, the trades, the music, the culture, the beach barbecues … and Aloha Shoyu. Until you have lived in Hawaii all you are ever really exposed to is Kikkoman soy sauce. Now that we’ve moved back to the mainland, we can no longer find Aloha Shoyu. There really truly is such a difference. Aloha Shoyu is sweet and mild whereas Kikkoman is salty and bitter. I did a search to see if we can buy it online – and found the website for Aloha Shoyu. We would buy ours at Costco by the gallon. There are island recipes on their website too that might be fun to try. Some that might be good to try are the Kalbi ribs and the Sam Choy spicy poke. mmmmmmm
