We just got home tonight from our 8 yr old daughter’s Art Fair where she proudly brought home 3 ribbons!
1st place in photography, 1st place in painting and 3rd place in needlework (in the 8-12 year old category)
Despite the fact that we had a discussion before going to the exhibition that the judging is really very subjective on personal preferences, and that you can’t judge art really since they are all SO different and each has it’s own unique merit etc etc etc…. the truth is when you do win …. it does feel fabulous …. and you should be proud of your accomplishments and be gracious and thankful for any God-Given talents that are revealed along the way in life.
So we’d love to share her photo with you guys – she called it “Funny Basenji.” 🙂 She grabbed our camera, our dog Hana was napping in her sunny spot, the light was PERFECT …. magic.
